Snappy Serape (continued) The pyramid sets are still there, but the videos now show completely different scenes. Each features a different kind of locale, such as a river, church, plaza, and the animated characters would zip through the scenes.
We see Donald snapping photos like a tourist:
...and moving up pyramid steps that zoom him upward like an escalator...
...or playing music on a 'Canoa Enflorada' (flower boat).
On other screens, the flying serape and its owners flit into the screen, seeking Donald and calling out for him.
The next scene in the ride has always been a village, populated with minimally-animated puppets that remind many of "it's a small world." Here is the El Rio Del Tiempo version:
But there are some changes in the Gran Fiesta Tour version:
Apparently, there is a "fiesta hoy" (celebration today)—which gives logic to why the villagers are all out and about, and hitting piñatas, and where there's a party we'll see in a few minutes. Speaking of piñatas, there was one in El Rio Del Tiempo (below)...
...but it's been replaced in Gran Fiesta Tour with that highly recognizable shape (above). |
