Friday @ San Diego Comic Con 2011 (PIC HEAVY)

Q. Like the song says, "Should I stay, or should I go" ...to the D23 Expo, that is. - Scandalous John
A. Let's see John... As with the last time around, there will be a large exhibit from the Parks & Resorts arm of the company, with lots of Imagineers on hand to answer your many questions. Lots of models, concept art and displays on all the tricks of the trade will be there for you to see. They have also teased that there will be a new retro/vintage line of park-inspired merchandise.
One of the items on display at the last Expo was the handmade storybook
that was filmed for the introduction of the Sleeping Beauty.
While yes, there may be way too many Disney Channel and Radio Disney personalities wandering around the Anaheim convention center for some; what's really of interest here is the sheer avalanche of artifacts, product booths and displays from all the different divisions of the Disney company that are all worth a least an afternoon of your time.
In other words, you should go. You won't be bored, you should have plenty to see and do, and you know the Mouse puts on a pretty good show. - Al

Things have been quiet recently on the WDW front. Rumors have been steady, but nothing really new. Perhaps Disney has clamped down on leaks in light of the D23 Expo? Whether anything new is announced or not, let's see what people are talking about this week in the WDW forum. ~yoyoflamingo
Is it worth it to skip rides at other parks?
A question that appears every once in a while on here: If you are familiar with a ride at one park (i.e. Disneyland) is it necessary to see it at another park? Share your thoughts here!
A Journey Back: Lake Buena Vista Village
Do you remember simpler times, before Pleasure Island and the West Side? Take a trip back to 1975 and see what was available at the Village before Landry's, empty clubs, and La Nouba came to town. DisneybyMark shares from his blog, which is worth a look in and of itself!
Sit on Main Street USA with me KingEric shares with us a simple video of Main Street, USA in this video. If you're missing the parks, this captures the charm of sitting on a bench in the middle of the magic.
Perfect time for Disney World is now.
Is the heat and humidity of the summer the time to visit the parks, or should you take the kids out of school to go? An interesting choice...
