SIP and NIBBLE AROUND EPCOT'S WORLD SHOWCASE
Saturday October 22nd - EPCOT - Orlando, Florida
And if all those wonderful events above weren't enough, we are continuing our annual Sip and Nibble event at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival this year. We'll gather at the FESTIVAL WELCOME CENTER (located in Future World East) at 10:30 a.m. and take a leisurely stroll around World Showcase, sampling the food and wine offerings along the way. Each of us will have a lanyard with a marker attached so we can record our progress. Those who desire to partake of the adult beverages will also sport a small glass on a lanyard to conveniently share "sips" along the way. After all, with 30 stops in this year's Food and Wine festival, there is just no way you'd be able to finish a whole drink at every stop (or could you?). Please vote in this poll to let us know if you are able to attend.

So the 40th anniversary has come and gone, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything to talk about. Trip planning, a MiceChat contest, dating in WDW, and a sponsorship question are just the beginning!~yoyoflamingo
Swan vs. Bay Lake Tower If you could stay at Bay Lake Tower for $500 more than the Swan for 10 nights, which would you choose? Weigh the pros and cons here. Kodak bankruptcy spsonsorship deal Seems like a similar situation to GM and Test Track, but if Kodak does file bankruptcy, how would that affect its sponsorship deal at the Disney Parks?
WDW contest for MiceChat members only MAGIC 24.7 is offering a great contest to help celebrate Walt Disney World's 40th anniversary! The prize? A lunch or dinner at Bongo's Cuban Cafe in Downtown Disney West Side. Get the details to enter here!
Date at Disney A fun thread idea: if you were to take a date to Walt Disney World, what would you do? So many possibilities, where do you even start?
With Halloween just around the corner, you can bet we are dominated by threads discussing offerings at various theme parks. Time to get your scare on! ~ Trekkie Dad
USH HHN Maze of the Year! Got a favorite maze at Universal Studios Hollywood? Vote in this poll created by dth316.
Best Way to Conquer USH HHN? cruise wants to know how to cover all the mazes at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights with a minimum amount of waiting. Several other MiceChatters have already offered advice.
Fright Night Question? SS77 is curious about Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain. dth316 attended a few years ago and was not impressed. Anyone hav a more recent review?
Ride Report from the 2011 Surf City AIDS Ride (Santa Cruz) Pardon the self-promotion here, but I just completed a 100-mile bike ride raising funds for the Santa Cruz AIDS Project. It's a fun way to combat a serious illness. Take a look at my pictures and see for yourself.
1943 Walt Disney Employee Handbook Want to know what it was like to work for the big Cheese, Walt Disney, himself? Flashbaak found an interesting Disney handbook from 1943 of rules and regulations that employees had to abide by. This is neat!
Wonder Pacific Cruise Sept. 20-25th If you have every wanted to do a Disney cruise, but just couldn't quite squeeze it in? Now you can cruise vicariously with ShelbyH as she shares the experience of her Wonder Pacific Cruise.
Spoiled By the New Cruise Ships? mcampos5 has brought up an interesting point. Have the new cruise ships with their special and new amenities spoiled the fun of the older ships? Do the older ships still 'work' or should they be retrofitted?
10/5: Kevin Yee 40 & Blue Yep. People are talking about it until they are blue in the face. Pandora Land is on its way to Animal Kingdom in Florida and there are a myriad of opinions about it good and bad. Kevin discusses his thoughts on the addition to Walt Disney World's fourth theme park.
10/4: Happy 40th Walt Disney World, Fireworks, Parade, Universal Minigolf
What a busy weekend we have had here in Florida! With the opening of the International Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT, as well as the celebration of Walt Disney World's 40th anniversary. Both of those big events created a huge reason to visit the vacation kingdom, drawing large crowds in the process. Of course, those weren't the only goings on in central Florida; we'll take you for a look at the miniature golf course construction at Universal, some small Harry Potter work to help ease traffic flow. Plus, Busch Gardens offers some new merchandise, as well as some sneak peeks.
10/3: HalloweenTime, A Good Look at Buena Vista Street, Cars Land, Hotel progress HalloweenTime is in full swing at the Disneyland Resort with the return of the popular Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy attractions. Yet, the big news this week wasn't the return of the annual holiday offerings, but the updated Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar in Disney California Adventure. The preview center's new exhibit focuses on the park's new Buena Vista Street main entrance plaza, which will take guests back to an idealized version of 1920s Los Angeles.
10/1: HalloweenTime, Hundred Acre upgrades, Buena Vista Streetlights, Cars Land, +MORE!
Disneyland's HalloweenTime continued over the weekend as October officially got underway. The seasonal offerings include special character meet-and-greets throughout the park and unique holiday menu items at select park restaurants. Outside the parks, the Disneyland Hotel's E-Ticket pool area has made some nice project as that project gets closer to its November grand opening. In other news, Jane Lynch from the hit TV show Glee made an appearance at this weekend's annual unofficial Gay Days events at the Disneyland Resort.
9/29: Pressing Matters
